I was a bit worried after reading the negative reviews of this card but it works fine, and for the price <$30 I have no complaints - it does the job. Noted behaviour: Running under XP - it does not require the drivers that ship with it - seems to run fine with the XP default drivers or with the shipped (non-XP certified) drivers on CD. Running a USB2 external disk (ION) that draws power from the USB port requires that you plug in the external power adapter for the card (it ships with it) to supply sufficient power for the device.
