I was looking for a small all-in-one to replace an old telephone/answering machine that sat on my kitchen counter for years. This compact unit is not much bigger than my old telephone. Since it will store up to 18 received faxes in it's memory (if out of paper) I do not keep paper in the tray. That way it takes up less space. The machine tells you if a fax is waiting to print, so I just add paper when an incomming fax is stored in memory. The answering machine works well. And the ring is pleasant.
