I finally needed to replace my 10 year old Panasonic "land line" - the battery had little charge left. Did a lot of research, and agree with the reviews of this nice AT&T phone. It has great voice quality in both the handset and the answering machine, is very easy to program and set up for use. The base sets are small and compact. Handsets are lightweight and comfortable to hold. Not too many bells and whistles, if you don't need them. I just needed a good basic land line. And the price for getting 2 handsets is outstanding and a great value.The only nitpicky things I could say about this phone is that there is a small delay between pressing the numbers when dialing and the entry of the number.
