For all the hype I read about this dishwasher before making the purchase, I expected it to do a superb job of cleaning the dishes. It does not do this any better than the one I replaced. Dishes still need to be pre-rinsed, and pots and pans will probably not get clean if they are the least bit caked with cooking residue. In its favor, the Maytag is QUIET.
